Looking first here at question 11: Which one of the following is an acceptable

schedule of destinations for Freedom in order from week 1 through week 7?

Alright, so turning our attention to or conditions. Again, we know we need one of each. So, we need Guadalupe,

Jamaica, Martinique, and Trinidad to appear at least once. You notice (A) is fine (B) is also fine. (D)

has all four as does (E). So that's not going to help us. Alright, so

let's go through the other conditions. We need Jamica to not be the

destination in week 4. So, we can eliminate (D) where we see Jamaica is the

destination in week 4. The second condition tells us Trinidad is the destination in week

7 which allows us to eliminate (E) because in (E) it is Marinique which violates that rule. The third

condition tells us that we have two trips to Martinique with at least one trip to

Guadalupe in between which allows us to eliminate (B) because the only thing in

between our two trips to Marinique in (B) is trinidad. (A) is fine and (C) is fine though.

And then the fourth condition

whenever we see Jamaica we have to have Guadalupe in the week immediately

preceding it and you notice in (C) we have Jamaica first. We know that's not

possible because there is no week preceding it for Guadalupe which allows us to

conclude that (A) is the correct answer and again just writing it out to the

side here so we have it handy as previous work. Again, we would have Guadalupe, Jamaica, Marinique, Trinidad, Guadalupe,

Martinique and Trinidad.
