What's included in the full course?

How much does BarMax cost?

The CA and UBE comprehensive courses are $1,895. The MBE-only course is $899.99, and the standalone MBE Question Bank is $395. If you've already paid a deposit to another bar review provider, we'll credit up to $250 of it toward your BarMax enrollment. Just send proof to info@testmaxprep.com.

Yes. BarMax has partnered with Affirm for 0% financing, starting at $106/month for the CA or UBE course and $75/month for the MBE course. Affirm uses a soft credit check, so applying has no impact on your credit score. You get full course access immediately regardless of your payment plan. How long do I have access?

Your course is active for two exam administrations. If you need more time, you can upgrade to lifetime access at the time of purchase or later for an additional fee. BarMax is not a subscription — once you've purchased, there are no renewal fees and no risk of losing what you've paid for.

How does the writing feedback work?

Every CA and UBE course includes 10 personalized writing revisions, graded by former bar exam graders — people who have actually scored the real exam. You submit essays through the online portal and receive specific, actionable feedback. Additional revisions are available for $30 each or in a bundle of 10 for $200.

Does BarMax offer a pass guarantee?

Yes. If you prepare with BarMax and don't pass the bar, you're eligible for a refund. We publish our pass rates by state — something no other major bar review course does — because we're confident in the outcomes and willing to be held accountable. Which states and exams does BarMax cover?

BarMax offers comprehensive courses for the California bar exam and all Uniform Bar Exam jurisdictions — currently 40+ states plus D.C. and the Virgin Islands. We also offer an MBE-only course, a free MPRE course, and a Baby Bar (FYLSE) course for California. When you select your course, you'll choose the appropriate jurisdiction. Can I access BarMax on multiple devices?

Yes. You can access BarMax from any web browser, plus one iPhone and one iPad through the mobile app. The iOS app requires iOS 15+ and allows you to download all materials — including audio lectures — for offline use. Android 7.0+ is also supported.

Is there support if I get stuck?

Is there a discount for public interest work or military service?

Yes. The BarMax Public Interest Scholarship reduces the full CA or UBE course to $1,248, the MBE course to $799.99, and the MBE Question Bank to $349.99.
