Didja Knows?!

Alright LSAT prep friends, I can now begin to feel the buildup of agitation of you December LSAT prep students. And I can’t blame you!  We have a mere four weeks left till the exam! That’s got to be a little nerve-racking. I want to remind you of the importance of relaxing and taking adequate breaks. It’s important now more than ever not to stress yourself out. As the December exam approaches, you’ll become more and more prone to freak-outs and breakdowns. Taking breaks and continuing at least some semblance of your social life will help you fight this test anxiety. So, seeing as it’s Friday, I thought I’d help you begin a quick break by bringing some interesting facts to your attention. Take a quick fifteen-minute break and enjoy this odd list of what I like to call, Didja Knows?!

  1. Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.
  2. There are 293 ways to make change for a dollar.
  3. A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.
  4. All 50 states are listed across the top of the Lincoln Memorial on the back of the $5 bill. A good way to check this is to take a picture with your camera phone and then zoom in!
  5. Winston Churchill was born in a ladies’ room during a dance.
  6. The characters Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street were named after Bert the cop and Ernie the taxi driver in Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
  7. The giant squid has the largest eyes in the world.
  8. Mr. Rogers was an ordained minister.
  9. There are 336 dimples on a regulation golf ball.
  10. Frank Baum, the creator of “The Wizard of Oz,” thought up the name for Oz when he looked at his filing cabinet and saw A-N, and O-Z, hence “Oz.”
  11. An American dime has 118 ridges around the edges.
  12. A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.

All very interesting and somewhat distracting, right? I know! So, there you have it, fifteen minutes of wasteful trivia time. Satisfied? I know it wasn’t much, but every slight break counts. Don’t let your Logical Reasoning mind burn out just yet. You only have four weeks left till your LSAT freedom. You got this!

Now, please crack open a Reading Comprehension section and begin!

Happy Studying!
