T-Minus 1

Okay October LSAT prep friends, we’re at the day before your exam. You’ve worked hard to get here. You’ve been slaving over timed section after section for months. You’ve slowly seen that three-digit LSAT score rise and rise. You are ready. I highly encourage you not to prep today. If you feel like your head will explode without any prep, then stop any studying after 1:00pm. Just use the rest of the day to relax. Get your “LSAT-go-bag” ready for tomorrow. Make sure you have all the required items in there, and that you have laid your clothes out ready to go. Don’t stress about anything tomorrow. For the rest of the day, just relax and hang out with your loved ones. Watch a movie, sleep, go on a run, and/or visit a pumpkin patch. On the day before my exam I went to Disneyland with my friends. It was a great way to distress and have fun (note: Disneyland is lovely in October).

Seeing as I’m hoping you’ve already stopped studying for the day, I’m going to further your distractions and relaxation by providing you with a list of silly trivia and facts that I find quite interesting. Stop studying. Put down that pencil. Turn off your logic-mind till tomorrow, and chill. Hope you enjoy this silly list.

  1. The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps to squirt 30 feet!
  2. Americans on average eat 18 acres of pizza EVERY DAY.
  3. In the 1940s, the FCC assigned television's Channel 1 to mobile services (two-way radios in taxicabs, for instance) but did not re-number the other channel assignments. That is why your TV set has channels 2 and up, but no channel 1.
  4. Every time you lick a stamp, you are consuming 1/10 of a calorie.
  5. Right-handed people live, on average nine years longer than left-handed people do.
  6. A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out.
  7. Uncopyrightable” is the only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter.
  8. Polar bears are left-handed.
  9. Butterflies taste with their feet.
  10. Cat urine glows under black light.
  11. In 1987 American Airlines saved $40,000 by eliminating one olive from each salad served in first class.
  12. On average there are 61,000 people airborne over America at one time.

Really interesting, right? Okay, I’ve kick-started your unproductive, fun, lazy, wonderful day before your exam!

Happy Relaxing!
