The key to this game

Thanks for the set up and explanations. Q 7 gave me a hard time. I think the key to this game is putting a quadruple option for adults on each group (except 2) and focusing on the most restricted group (i.e. group 2). Though the quadruple option (Q/R/S/T) seems redundant, it is the key for solving this question because of the visual impact it has by filing the remaining space in group 1 and forcing H in group 3. I neglected to put a quadruple option in my setup and paid the price for Q7 and spent 4-5 mins on that question.

Why is it that we can assume that each canoe has three spots? It doesn't specifically say that each canoe has three spots, so couldn't they have a different distribution even though there are 9 people in total? In other questions we have done, we did not assume the number of seats, so why is it different here? Thanks!
