How to word this

How are we supposed to word this in our heads? Is the arrow saying "A IS Y"or "because of A, Y is" I'm just confused. Thanks!

@slew the arrow indicates "Sufficient & Necessary" conditions.

The left side of the arrow is your sufficient condition.

The right side of the arrow is your necessary condition.

So here, A ==> Y means that A is sufficient for Y and Y is necessary for A.

Please watch our video lesson on Sufficient & Necessary Conditions for a more in-depth discussion of these concepts.

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
