Does D not also show what Sim does to the argument?

I see how answer choice E addresses what Sim does to the argument, but how exactly is D wrong?

@jskaggs not at all. Sims does not show that Rotelle's statement is self contradictory.

Calling Sims too old while being young is not self contradictory.

This is why (D) is not the correct answer.
