Thanks for your question but the correct answer choice here is (E), not (A).

Why wasnt it B?

Hi @Ceci, thanks for your post. As always, start with the stimulus. This one presents an argument; the conclusion is "robots will not eliminate demeaning work - only substitute one type of demeaning work for another." Why? The premise given in support is that "engineers are designing only those types of robots that can be properly maintained with the least expensive, least skilled human labor possible."

The question stem asks you to identify the flawed method of reasoning. Answer choice (B) describes "circular reasoning" - which is what happens when the premise is identical logically to the conclusion. That's not what is happening here; here, the premise says that the only kinds of robots being designed are those that can be maintained with inexpensive and low-skilled human labor. The conclusion is that, given this, robots *will not eliminate* demeaning work. These are two distinct ideas (albeit related).

Answer choice (E), by contrast, identifies the flaw in the stimulus - the argument "fails to address the possibility that the amount of demeaning work eliminated by robots might be significantly greater than the amount they create."

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
