Question explanation

I feel like the questions that are used as examples in the audio tutorial part of the sections are elementary compared to the questions in the quiz section-then when asked for explanations of wrong answers we receive vague generalizations-there should be more step by step help throughout these modules as the questions become clearly more confusing

I completely agree with this statement. There needs to be more instruction around these more advanced questions. Students are really left needing more explanation!

@huntlavender @G14 @Hollie-MacCutcheon thanks for your messages but this is definitely not true.

The difference is that I am walking you through every question on the video lessons.

It is natural to not feel super comfortable with these strategies the moment you learn them.

The key is continuing to practice applying them on real LSAT questions.

Trust the process. Remember, the LSAT is different from any other standardized test you have ever encountered. It is testing a way of thinking and changing the way you think doesn't happen overnight.

If you have any questions or need clarification on something, either post to these message boards or reach out to us via our chat system.

The point of the message boards is to allow you to ask any questions about the questions you have. Having taken the course before becoming an instructor, I understand where you're coming from to some extent. There are some videos that the questions seem basic compared to the rest, but there are a few videos in which Mehran walks through some of the most complicated questions that LSAC has ever asked. That said, even as you master the test, the test makers are still going to be able to throw you a few curve balls. That's the point of a test like the LSAT. Even after I felt tremendously comfortable with the LSAT as a whole, there were a couple questions that blew my mind. Some of that is the design of the test, and some of that is that none of us process information exactly the same, so what seems elementary to one may seem incomprehensibly convoluted for someone else.

All that to say, if you need more help on any particular question, ask, and we'll do our best to explain it.

Also, if you create a username that we can tag with @username, then you'll get notified when we respond to you.

Hope that helps.
