Jay seems to have done the flip of B - he seems to have interpreted Helena's remarks to mean that all introverted children, when adopted by extroverts, become extroverts. Really, Helena is saying they generally become more extroverted, on a sliding scale. D is the best answer because he seems to have interpreted Helena's remarks as meaning that the adoption determines that they will be extroverts, regardless of their biology.
