Can you please explain the reasoning why D is not the correct answer? I choose D thinking that if there were details that did not appear on the footprints then they would not have an accurate interpretation.

@Indy5 I definitely see why you would go with that! What we know from the prompt is that it seems like they have enough evidence to determine what the prints looked like, both in foot shape and in pattern. So the issue probably isn’t that the data has been erased.

This is a good question to remind yourself to really read through each answer; some can be enticing, but there’s a best one. B is best here because it explains that the prints could look human-like but still cross-legged.
