@Madelyn-Luskey What we know from the prompt is that the number of children with body weights higher than 85% of other children in the region is increasing. Of course, the percentage of these children cannot increase. This means that the overall number of children must be increasing. That’s what we see in C.

For the other answers:

A) We do not know this to be true. Four studies could produce similar results, but there could be four studies with different results.

B) We don’t know this. Children could very well be staying the same in activity level, but with the increasing number of children overall, there’s an increasing corresponding number of children with higher body weights.

D) We don’t have enough information from the prompt to determine anything about underweight children.

E) The information in the prompt doesn’t address the ages of children, so we can’t infer this.
