why would b be incorrect?

What is it about b that makes it wrong? I felt that c was too vague so I didn't choose it. please help

@marissa B is very strong. We don’t know that this defies rational basis, only that it seems to be suited to personal tastes, rather than market value.

C, on the other hand, tells us that what has been taken and what was left may show some sort of pattern, rather than just happenstance. The prompt gets at this by guessing what type of art theft this was, meaning that there are multiple types that can be determined by these patterns.
