X->Y if that means x belongs to Y, if X exist, Y doesn't necessarily exist. I think.

Hi @ava961111, thanks for your post, but we are not entirely sure we understand your question/statement.

Here, the first premise you are given is not Y ==> not X.
The contrapositive of this premise is X ==> Y.

The second premise you are given is that you have X.
Applying this fact to the contrapositive of the first premise, you know you have the sufficient condition (X), so you know you have the necessary condition (Y).

So you can conclude that you have Y (ie, that Y exists). That's answer choice (A).
