Hi @Courtnee-green, great questions! here's the rationale behind solving this problem.We have two premises, and one conclusion. One of the premises and the conclusion is given to us, and with this information, we are tasked with identifying what the second premise is.
P: B-some-D
P: ?
C: not A-some-B
In order to visually represent this problem as easily as possible, we should rearrange the conclusion so that's B-some-not A. Some statements are reversible, and doing this allows us to 'see' the linkage between the premise provided and the conclusion.
P: B-some-D
P: ?
C: B-some-not A
See the link that's missing now? We need to connect D and not A.
If D - > not A, then we have a clear link that goes
B-some-D
D - -> not A
B-some-not A (not A-some-B)
This leads us to answer choice (D), which is D - > not A
Does this help? Let us know if you have any questions!
