@Steph,

Happy to help. The question says, "The passage implies that the
colonials discussed in the passage would have considered which one of
the following to be a source of their debates with England?"

We're looking for what the passage said that the colonials found to be
a point of contention with their English counterparts.

Answer A is incorrect because the colonials didn't even change their
use of the English political vocabulary. The meaning of the words, not
their usage, is what changed. Additionally, the colonials didn't even
notice that the meaning of the words had changed (see lines 6 through
8, where it states, "these colonials failed to observe that their
experience in America had given the words a significance quite
different from that accepted by the English with whom they debated").
We can get rid of this answer.

Answer B is incorrect because the colonials are totally o.k. with the
English being committed to parliamentary representation as a form of
government. This is not a point of debate, so we can get rid of this
answer choice.

Answer C is incorrect because there is no mention of the colonials
referencing their uniquely English experience as a source of their
debates with England. We can get rid of this choice.

Answer D is incorrect because it's false; the colonials adopted a
number of English political institutions. We can get rid of this.

Answer E says, "their greater loyalty to the English political
traditions." This is a source of the colonials' debates with England,
so this is our correct answer choice. lines 10 through 12 tell us
this, as they state, "in fact, they [the colonials] claimed that they
were more loyal to the English political tradition than were the
English in England." This is almost word-for-word what E says, and
this is our choice.

Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any more questions!
