You are correct that answer choice (B) is supported by lines 58-59, taken together the preceding half of the paragraph. The paragraph discusses how historians' earlier characterizations of colonial women's lives were overly-simplistic. Lines 58-59 are giving an example of this overly-simplistic view

Why are you saying B is the correct answer when it was really A?

I chose A. A is the correct answer. and now it says B is wrong leaving me feeling confused yet I was right all along. misleading post.
