"Some" here means that some Xs are As. Additionally, this also means that some As are Xs.

For this question, we have

P: A - >/B (B - >/A)

P:

C: B - >C (/C - >/B)

In looking at what we're given, we see that the first premise and the
contrapositive of the conclusion look like they can be linked
together.

A - >/B

/C - >/B

If we add /C - >A, as a premise, then we'd have

A - >/B

/C - >A

/C - >A - >/B

/C - >/B

We're looking for either /C - >A or its contrapositive, /A - >C

(E) says, "not A - >C," and this means the same thing as /A - >C, so (E)
is the correct answer.

Does that make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!
