Set ups
I am having trouble with setting up the Multi-Linear Games questions with the right set-up. Is there an easy "rule" or things to look for when setting them up? This question [June 1991 Q8-13] for example, has years, offices, computers, printers - how can I QUICKLY tell the best way to set up the game?

So for a game like this, I would try to look at what the biggest organizational unit is and try to set up the game based on that. So here, it looks like the offices are the biggest organizational unit, since the computers and printers are going to be put in the offices. So I would write out each of the offices, and each one would have a slot for a computer and a printer, since each office has one of each for sure. Then, we know that the computers and printers have a certain attribute, which is what year they were bought. That's what we're going to be putting on the lines, since that's what we're trying to match up to the correct computer/printer. As you do more problems, the set ups will come more naturally to you. Hope this helps!
