Hi,

Let's try negating the assumption in (E). That means it's not necessarily true that if parts are made for cards manufactured in our country, they are not poorly constructed. In other words, some parts that are made for cars manufactured in our country are poorly constructed, but not necessarily all, and in particular, the negation doesn't entail that Clark's parts have to be poorly constructed. So this is not an assumption that the argument REQUIRES. Hope this helps!
