Confused

If the rule here is no Xs are Ys and We get to pick which variable is negated then why is A wrong? The X variable was negated as the rules follows but the correct answer has the Y variable negated. I am confused as to why...

We can diagram this statement as:

P -> ~FT

which means

If P THEN NOT a FT

To form the contrapositive of the conditional statement, we must negate both sides and switch the hypothesis and the conclusion that can be diagrammed as:

FT - >~P

If FT then NOT P.
