@chris_va, yes. Both "without" and "unless" are conditional logic indicators that tell you that you should take whatever immediately follows these terms, negate it, and make it the sufficient condition.

I thought "without" and "unless" are followed by the necessary condition. That's what the book says. So, what's going on?
