Wording of choice (E)
Hi LSAT Max,
I was able to pick (E) even though "is worthy of comparison" sounded too strong, but none of the other answers sounded better. Any advice on how to determine when language that sounds strong is in fact giving support for the right answer? Thank you in advance!

In this case, "worthy of comparison" is not a particularly strong language, it could be phrased differently, such as "research is comparable," or "research is likely to produce benefits similar to..", but the meaning would be the same. For this particular question, it is fairly intuitive to eliminate the remaining answer choices and once you focus on the intended meaning of the correct answer instead of the specific language, it accurately describes the flaw in the argument.
