More Solitary Passages Questions - - Question 1

Which one of the following statements best expresses the main idea of the passage?

Julie-V July 31, 2019

(D)

Hi LSAT Max, I chose (B), but was wondering if we can eliminate (D) because it talks about how technology would transform the way the public responds to art, whereas the passage focuses more on how it can impact the artist instead. Thank you in advance for the help!

@Julie-V,

(D) says, "Technology will transform the way the public responds to art."

(D)'s language is simply too strong. The passage's author doesn't
claim that there's a definitive way that technological innovation will
influence art, and she never makes any sort of claim pertaining to the
public's response to art. Thus, we can get rid of (D).

Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!

I was stuck between answer choice B and C but I ended up choosing C. .....

The author seems pretty clearly in flavor of tech in art. They introduce possible objections to it, and then pretty quickly dismiss those objections as making unwarranted objections and as cynical- and the final paragraph is a defense of tech aiding art.
