(C) and (E)
Hi LSAT Max,
I read the explanation of the stimulus' flaw and why (D) would be the correct answer. I was wondering if someone could break down the problem with answer choices (C) and (E) and why they would be eliminated.
Thanks!

Democracy is no better than monarchy. It is wrong for an individual to have the power to control the government, so it is no less wrong to grant it to society, which is just a collection of individuals.
We can summarize it as arguing that if an individual possesses certain characteristic so does a collective entity composed of these individuals.
(C) is saying that it is wrong for a given person, then it is wrong for anyone in similar circumstances. In both cases, (C) talks about individual action, rather than collective action.
(E) reverses the argument, it says that if a collective entity as a whole is mistaken, then every individual within in is mistaken as well, whereas to parallel the stimulus it would have to say that an individual is mistaken, thus the society is mistaken.
