(D)

Hi LSAT Max, Thank you for breaking down the stimulus and explaining answer choice (C) in the previous thread! Could you also explain the flaw in (D) and why it doesn't help resolve the paradox? Thanks!

Hi @Julie-V,

We know the paradox is: while those suffering from acute cases of disease W have lower levels of fat in their blood than the average population, most doctors believe that reducing blood fat levels is an effective way to prevent acute W.

D is incorrect because it tells us nothing about the impact of changes in dietary intake of fat on the disease itself. We simply know that those who have the disease have abnormally slow responses to these changes; we do not know the effect of these changes on the disease.

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
