Hi all,
I rejected answer choice (e) because I did not think there was support in passage B for the author considering the issues faced by the Roma anomalous rather than just an example to illustrate this issue in international law (of which there could be many examples the author might have chosen). What did I miss? Thanks!

It is clear that the author of Passage A considers the problems that the Roma face to be "anomalous and special" because of his/her use of the phrase "PARTICULARLY problematic." It is safe to conclude that the author of Passage B also feels this way because he/she is describing the way in which the Roma pose an exception to the definition. The framing of the Roma as an exception suggests both that they are not the norm (therefore, that they are special) and that there are not an abundance of other similar examples. Moreover, it could be argued that even if there were many other examples the author could have chosen, since each example is an exception to the norm (the definitional criteria), he/she would view them all as anomalous and special.
