for answer question a) the "or" does not truly mean or because whenever we see and or it converts to an "and"? because i understood that either we have a weak economy or a decrease in investment and technically we can not have both we can only have one, and that is what the answer choice is saying..... can you futher explain please

The argument has the following premises:

Economy is weak -> prices constant & unemployment rising
~prices constant v ~ unemployment rising -> ~ economy weak
Unemployment rising -> investment decreasing
~ investment decreasing

We can see from these premises that:

economy weak -> unemployment rising -> investment decreasing
~ investment decreasing -> ~ unemployment rising -> ~economy weak

So if economy is weak, investment necessary decreases.

(A) tells us that only one of this could be true, either the economy is weak or investment is decreasing. We know that it must be false because both of these statements must be true - if the economy is weak, the investment decreases.
