Set up question

Why for rule 2, the explanation for contrapositive says if HL is not together then M sits at window seat. Why does it have to be window? Why not-M (aisle) implies M (window)? Why can't M be anywhere else? Thanks!

Hello @yuliyavi,

Pay attention to this part of the premise: "Each row has exactly two seats: a window seat and an aisle seat." There are only two types of seats, window and aisle.

Therefore, we can say if not window, then aisle. not W - - - - - - > A
We can also say if not aisle, then window. not A - - - - - -> W

Rule 2: M(aisle) - - - - - - - > HL
Contrapositive: not HL - - - - - - - > M(window)

Hi, if one were to under time pressure accidentally overlook the previous hypothetical from Question #14, and create a quick one corresponding to Question #15, answer A and answer B are both coming out to be 'could be true'. Kindly explain what I'm missing here. Thanks so much!
