Need clarification

I picked the right answer - after spending too much time analyzing the stimulus - based on the word choice. The stimulus uses the words "internal coherence" as basis for music depending on nothing but itself whereas "D" says "unintelligible" music tends to be the most sophisticated music, thereby, directly contradicting the stimulus (by contradicting "internal coherence" with "unintelligible"). Was this the right way to look at it or did I just get lucky with picking the correct answer choice?

@Masood,

Your approach makes sense - this is a must be false question. The passage tells us that most sophisticated music is intelligible independent of its original function due to its internal coherence. (D) directly contradicts this assertion.
