If neither Gutierrez nor Imamura sits in row 1, then which one of the following could be true?

I used the contrapositive of rule 5 to take a shortcut due to time constraint and then put Kelly in 2, which was wrong

So, I understand the method and have no quarrel with that. My real question relates to the fact that Naz went right from the writing of the rules and their contrapositives directly into the question set without drawing hypotheticals. Thinking that with all the rules etc., I thought that this might be a GURU game and then spent far too much time writing hypotheticals. So how do you know when to draw hypotheticals and when not to? If there were a key to that for this game that could help on other games,I would be very appreciative. Thank you,

Hi @bb427,

It's not an exact science, but once you've made all the deductions you can, and you see that there are a number of hypotheticals, generally speaking, the more complex the hypotheticals are and the more of them there are, the less likely I would be to draw them out. I tend to draw out hypotheticals only if there are two or maybe three possibilities, for example. Hope this helps!

Answers C,D, and E are all possible and could be true. How did you decide on C as the correct one?
