@kassidee, happy to help!

Originally the numbering portion of the setup lists the possibilities of city arrangements, that is the combinations of which countries the six cities could be in. Then we assign the minimum number of days to these combinations (which would be 2 days per city, for a total of 12 days). We use the minimum here to get a base requirement for each combination, but we note that this leaves two additional days (for a total of 14 days). These two days can be added to our combinations in too many different ways to list out efficiently, so we restrict our noted combinations to only the 12 days that we know must fall a certain way in each combination.

Does that make sense? Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi! What's the general strategy for setting up the base of these problems i.e., how do we know if we should lay out the space for 14 days, 6 cities, or 3 countries?

Yes, this is incredibly unclear to me. It does not make sense. I wish she would explain this part better in the video. In terms of learning for future setups I don't understand.

I'm also having trouble understanding where the 12 days came from in the setup.
