you read the passage carefully and you get it. but there is nothing to diagram. so how should I approach this ? will I just have to rely on me remembering the reasoning of the passage?

Hi @mkonovodoff,

When it comes to logical reasoning questions, some people are able to just remember the passage. But, if that's not the case for you (it's not always for me), I like to break the passage down into its components like this:

Premise: The theory of deterrence is based on the idea of fear of retaliation.
Premise: To maintain deterrence, other nations must think you have enough retaliatory power that they can't defend against it.
Conclusion: ???

Then, when you turn to the answer choices you can just refer to this shortened outline instead of the full passage.
