Flaws in the logic of the answer

Nevertheless that I get the answer right, I can't understand why one cannot conclude that most of the people buy those books from the fact that the books are best sellers ??

@Maria-Marin,

Let's take a look at why (C) doesn't work.

(C) says, "Most people who purchase publications at university
bookstores purchase either TV Today or Gossip Review."

We know from the stimulus that TV Today and Gossip Review are the
best-selling publications. However, this does not necessarily mean
that they account for a majority of the sales. It could be possible
that they're selling the most but are still only comprising a minority
of sales. What if there were 1,000 books sold, and 990 books were each
sold once to 990 different people, with the remaining 10 books being
split between TV Today and Gossip Review and being sold to 10
different people? In that situation, TV Today and Gossip Review would
be bestsellers, but they wouldn't have been bought by most people.
This is why (C) is incorrect.

Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!
