Which one of the following is a characteristic of barite that is mentioned in both of the passages?

Answer choice E

Passage A talks about the heaviness of barite, and Passage B explains how barite is a mineral. However, they don't both mention that barite is a "heavy mineral". How can this be the correct answer? Thank you so much!!

Thanks for the question! In passage A, take a look at line 15, where we’re told that barite is “a very heavy mineral.” If it’s a very heavy mineral, then it should be a heavy mineral as well.

Now in passage B, take a look at line 50-51, where we’re told that OBMs has a higher concentration of barite, “a powdered heavy mineral.” Thus, we’re told that barite is a heavy mineral in both passages, and (E) is correct. Note also that the other choices are not mentioned in both passages.
