Hi @ChristianJM,

Thanks for the question! Let’s take a look at the structure of the flawed reasoning in the stimulus. We know that

well publicized + established writer —> successful

but we then conclude well publicized from established writer and successful. In other words, we know

A + B —> C

and we end up saying

B + C —> A

Now let’s take a look at (A). (A) tells us that

turn out —> one follows exactly + uses high-quality ingredients

And we can see already that the structure of the reasoning isn’t the same because of the “only if” construction, which is different from “if.” If (A) read “this recipe will turn out if one follows it exactly and uses high-quality ingredients,” then (A) would be correct. But “only if” has a different logical structure than “if.” Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any further questions that you might have.

i still don't understand why the answer isn't A?

@Shani I got tripped up on A too, but you have to remember that in the question structure, 2 sufficient conditions ("Well Publicized" and "Author is established Writer") are used to conclude one necessary condition.

but A implies that 1 Sufficient condition (Recipe Turns Out) concludes 2 necessary conditions ("one follows it exactly" and "uses high quality ingredients")

A and C are so similar... I have no idea why C is right and A is not

Actually wait I just found out, it cannot be A because the "only if" part is in the answer, in which it's rule is to introduce the necessary
