Why not E?

I felt like it was C because it referenced Ian, and talked about how his data did not correctly represent problems in marriages etc... and it referenced Ian's article twice. But E also seems plausible to me because it began stating that 'Like many articles...' So my question is how would I have known the difference between C and E?

@nicolebet, happy to help!

Unlike (C), we do not have evidence that (E) must be true. Although the passage starts out with the phrase "like a number of other articles," it only says that the articles use the same survey. However, (E) says that the articles made the same incorrect claims. We know nothing about the findings of the other articles mentioned in the passage, so this cannot be the correct answer choice. Do not get thrown off by the presence of similar wording.

(C) is correct because it is supported by the passage and accurately summarizes the main idea- that Raghnall arrived at an inadequately justified conclusion because he switched out the term "money" for the term "financial problems."

If you'd like to explore the difference between (C) and (E) further, I would suggest looking at the previous posts on this question.

Does that make sense? Please let us know if you have any other questions!
