Issue with the language of the question

I had a hard time understanding why the question stem was valid. While it did say that CA s MR it didn't say the reason why they are MR. How can we then conclude that the reason for this is the persuasion is the reason for MR? While we can conclude that some MR attempt to Persuade we cannot say that some P is MR.

Hello @avif,

We are given two characteristics of contemporary advertising.
1. Some of it is morally reprehensible.
2. All of it tries to persuade.
When we are given an "all" statement and a "some" statement about the same group, I like to say that these characteristics are going to overlap. In diagram form, we can conclude:
MR --- some --- P
You seemed to understand this. But remember that some statements are reversible. We can also say:
P --- some --- MR

We do not need to assume a cause and effect relationship between Persuasion and Moral Reprehensibility. It is not about cause and effect, but rather about our quantifier rules. We simply need an answer choice that gives us two characteristics of one group. This is provided by answer choice E.

Sonnets --- some ---- Thematically Pluralistic
Sonnets --- all --- Short Poems

Therefore: Short Poems --- some --- Thematically Pluralistic
