Hi @Mario-Gomez-Castro,

Thanks for the question! Let’s take a look at the stimulus. We’re told that all of John’s friends say they know someone who has smoked (in simple terms) a lot of cigarettes but is still super fit. John, however, doesn’t know anyone like that, and is “quite certain” he’s not unique among his friends in this respect. In other words, that he’s not the only one.

Now, we assume all the statements given to us in the passage are true, and then we need to find which one of the answer choices must also be true, based on logical necessity.

Notice here that if the following 3 things are true:
1. Every single one of John’s friends say they know someone who smokes a lot but is super fit
2. John doesn’t know anyone like that
3. John isn’t unique among his friends in this regard

Then that means that there has to be at least one other friend who actually doesn’t know someone who smokes a lot but is super fit. But if they don’t know someone who smokes a lot but is super fit, but say that they do, then they’re not telling the truth. So there has to be at least one of John’s friends who isn’t telling the truth. And on the LSAT, “some” means “at least one,” so answer choice (E) is correct here.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
