Quick question

I don't don't the third premise. I did all the work but couldn't draw the chain for the 3rd premise

Same here, the "explanation" only shows the answer rather than explaining the way to arrive. Hopefully we'll get an alert when the answer to this is posted.

The contrapositives show the correct set up for the third premise, thus allowing one to see that not D would have to be first to get to A at the end through transitive property

So it's not D - X - B - A
And then the reverse (since the answer choice is in its contrapositive form) will thus also be correct
