Answers A and D

Hi! Are answer choices A and D incorrect because these choices "could" be true rather than "must" be true, or are they just incorrect/irrelevant entirely? Thanks for the help!

Hi @saskipper,

Thanks for the question! Yes, you’ve got that correct, both (A) and (D) could be true, but they needn’t be true. And here’s how you might know that: it’s possible that (A) is true and (D) is false, which eliminates (D). But it’s also possible that (D) is true and (A) is false, which eliminates (A). Since the question is asking for something that logically completes the argument, the answer is a must be true, of which neither (D) nor (A) are. So you can eliminate both of them.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
