general question about point at issue
I am having a difficult time digesting both arguments made. Especially when arguments get long and wordy. Any tips on reading efficiently but getting all the info in?

This is a general tip for reading LSAT questions in general. As you go, try to simplify what you are reading in your mind. Take a pause and digest what is being said so that you could explain it yourself if you had to. It is really crucial for you not to get lost because of the length of an argument, nor the fancy words they use. If you find at some point that you are getting tripped up, take that pause and process what you just went through, and only when you feel confident with that, then move forward.
Also, just a note specific for these questions. Looking for specific points in the passage where they discuss the same thing would be helpful. Because it is likely they might have a different opinion regarding one of these.
As for these point at issue questions. If the reading did not go very well, try to cross out those answer choices that you immediately know are wrong. Then for the leftover options, try to envision a conversation with the authors in which you are trying to get different responses from each. One of the authors should clearly be disagreeing with the statement and the other should be agreeing. If this is not the hypothetical situation you think would ensue from that answer choice, keep looking.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or would like me to elaborate further.
