Set Up for Game

I am a bit confused on how I would know to set up this type of game if I encountered it on the LSAT. I watched the explanation video for the game set up, but couldn't figure it out on my own. Is there an easy/quick way to know what variables to use for the set up? For example, I was struggling to figure out if I should use Jan/Feb or Lines 1-3 for my main organizational unit.

Hi Polina, thanks for the question.

This is a truly odd game. We don't see games like this all too often so the confusion seems warranted. I think the easiest way to figure out whether you are going to use Jan/Feb as the base or the lines 1-3 as the base, we should note whether the colours are being assigned to the months or the lines. Once we see that the colours are being assigned to the lines, then it becomes rather intuitive to make that our base.
