Why not B? If Nassar makes the same amount of money has Hae, Lopez could still make more than nassar and less than jacoby because jacoby and lopez don't have a relationship. Am i missing something?

Answer choice B is incorrect because if we were to equate N with H, it is possible that J makes less than L. This is because, as you said, there is no relationship between L and J. However, if we equate N with any other the other variables other than N, then it must be the case that J makes less than L. This shows that is not must be false, but rather could be true.
