General Question

For questions like these, if we're to be spending a max of 1 minute and 24 seconds, how do we diagram the question and answer choices like you guys taught us all in this short period of time?

Hi @caliamj,

Thanks for the question! So this is a skill that is definitely developed with time, but let’s use this question as an example. Just make sure you take each statement one by one, and then look back at all of them as a cohesive unit at the end to see if there’s any ways in which they can be connected. Also, although a max of 1 minute and 24 s is a good goal to shoot for, remember that on the test, some questions will take less time, freeing up a little more time on other, more tough questions.

This one is pretty straightforward, and with practice, you might not even need to spend time on writing it down, you’ll be able to keep a mental diagram. Try to focus more on broad concepts as opposed to the details. But we know that people who are R/G color blind can’t distinguish between green and brown, and Gerald can’t distinguish between green and brown. The repeating of the exact wording clues us in that this might be a block that we should pay attention to. So we have

RG color-blind —> ~Distinguish between Green and Brown
G can’t distinguish
Therefore G RG color-blind

And once you begin using abbreviations and acronyms that’ll also save time.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
