Transitive Statement
Hello,
I had diagramed as follows:
20th--s--ga--->oi--->i
Am I correct that the answer C is the result of not being able to reverse i and oi?
Answer Stimulus states: Only art that involves original ideas is influential.
For this answer to be true, would it have to state, "Only art that is influential, involves original ideas".
Thank you!

First, your diagram employing the transitive property is incorrect.
While we can conclude that 20th - some - GA --> OI, we cannot add I on to the end.
We know that "any art that is influential cannot be great art."
Not I --> Not GA GA --> I
Therefore, we can conclude:
20th - some - GA --> OI 20th - some - GA --> I
Remember that we can also reverse 'all' statements to make 'some statements.
Therefore, we can also conclude that OI - some - GA --> I.
This tells us hat some art which involves original ideas is influential. Remember that the term 'only' introduces a necessary condition. We can only diagram a quantifier statement here, not a conditional (S&N) statement. This is why answer choice (C) is not true.
Answer choice (D) is true because conditional statements which include the word AND can be split into two statements. Therefore:
GA --> I AND OI can be split into GA --> I GA --> OI
Both of these are true; therefore, answer (D) must be true.
Hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
