A v D

Hi, I understand why D is correct, but I am confused why A is completely wrong. I was wondering if I could get an explanation for both.

@allison and @Lorraine. I believe answer A is wrong is due to the "because" found in the answer choice. Their writing is bad because they follow other lawyers writing as seen in lines 39-42. If they were to be given explicit instructions it is presumed that their writing would still be bad because they are going to teach the fellow lawyer to write the same way. This would show that although they were not given explicit instructions the instructions would not have improved their writing. This is what I interpreted from this answer choice and why I had eliminated answer A after initially being confused about the same thing.

Passage B says that lawyers write how they see other lawyers write, and that's usually without emotion. That is primarily why the writing is bad, cuz there ain't emotion in it. So that's why D is right and A is wrong. A just says that the writing is bad, which is right. But D says why the writing is bad. So that's why D is right.
