Under watering leads to non normal growth?

Doesn’t Jennifer’s argument imply that by underwatering and causing pesticide toxins to develop, normal growth would be hindered? Thus contradicting Peter?

Hi Bcross, thanks for the question.

I think we need to be very specific with what Peter says, which is that as long as there is "no substantial threat" to the growth or yield.

By the way Jennifer introduces her reasoning, in saying that the plants will divert a small amount of its resources from normal growth, we can accept that this would not pose a substantial threat. In this light, she is not contradicting Peter.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
