QUESTION 1 – 1:19 time

This is for the fist question timed at 1:19 on examples. Why is the answer A and not D? They disagree on lowering the blood alcohol level at its current state. Also, who is to say social drinkers are not those who do not already go over the drinking level?

@Rachel-Kehinde, happy to help!

I believe you are referring to Example #2 in the video.

As you point out, how do we know what the blood alcohol level of social drinkers is in comparison to the legal limit? We don't. Maybe it's above, maybe it's below. Steven does not clarify, so we cannot assume either way. Moreover, Miguel does not address social drinkers nor those with blood alcohol limits below the legal limit. Since we don't have enough information to determine what Steven and Miguel think on the matter, we cannot say that they disagree. So, (D) is incorrect.

(A) is correct because, unlike (D), we have specific support that Steven agrees and Miguel disagrees with the statement. Therefore, they would disagree with each other.

Does that make sense? Hope it helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions!
