Clarifying wrong answer choices

Are answer choices B and C saying the same thing as each other (along with D and E)? If so, would it be possible to rule them out for being synonymous (I.e can’t pick B without also picking C, for example) to also arrive at the correct answer choice A?

Hi @mikayla,

Thanks for the question! So you actually can’t eliminate (B) and (C) for those reasons, since they’re not saying the same thing. One’s saying that Gs are featured when Hs are; the other’s saying that Hs are featured when Gs are. There’s a difference. For example, consider the following:

G G ?H

In the above example, considering the columns, we have Gs featured whenever Hs are. H only shows up once, and G shows up when it does. But do we have H’s featured whenever G’s are? No! Because G shows up twice, and H only shows up on one of those days. So in that example, Gs’ are featured whenever Hs are, but Hs aren’t featured whenever G’s are. And we can see that these two mean two different things, and so can’t be eliminated for meaning the same thing.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
